| Volunteers are essential to the Ballard Nature Center. Volunteers host the vistor center on weekends, build foot bridges & benches, maintain trails, and help with programs and special projects. We would love to help you find a way to share your time and talent with us! Opportunities Weekend Visitor Center Host: open the visitor center, greet visitors, and answer the phone, and misc. assignments Maintenance: Trail monitoring, maintain and construct footbridges, benches, trim trees, mow grass, etc. Naturalist Assistant: Help with schools and other groups that visit the nature center: assist with trail walks Fundraising Projects or Events: Help with the annual banquet and other fundraising ideas, grant writing, etc. Special Projects or Events: Help with the outdoor days event, fundraising banquet, nature photography, workshops, exhibits, newletters, etc. |
