| The Ballard Nature Center will be holding their
9th annual fundraising banquet on October 20th, 2007, at the
Effingham K of C Hall in Effingham this year. The night is filled
with fun activities and is an opportunity to help the nature center
"keep the doors open." All proceeds are used by the Ballard Nature
Center Board to support operations and programs. The members of the
Ballard Nature Center are especially appreciated because of their
generosity and support, and donors who make the fundraiser possible. Tickets are $30.00 for a single, $50.00 for a couple and $250.00 for a sponsor. Tickets to the banquet include a membership and subscription to the nature center's newsletter. The fundraising banquet consists of a live auction that has unusual and one of a kind items for members to bid on. The silent auction gives a chance for members to bid on a host of unique items. The raffle table has everything from toys to tools. Special activities that night include a wine tasting table featuring White Owl Wines and a harpist.
